3D Cera Skirt Hack

This is a hack pattern only and will need to be used in conjuction with ‘Cera’ 3D bow bag pattern (PDF Pattern), as sold on our website.

These pieces will allow you to add a “non-3D” tapered row to the top of a ‘CERA patchwork’ panel, to taper the volume of your skirt into a gathered elasticated waistband. This continues the pattern of the skirt without the 3D bow part.

To complete the Skirt Hack, you will also need to draft a waistband to your desired length to add to the top of this tapered Row. The waistband can then be elasticated to your preferred fit.

  • The download includes 2 sets of pattern pieces to create a non 3D tapered row, which should be alternated along the Row to allow you to continue the alternating pattern suggested in the original CERA project.

    To complete the Skirt Hack, you will also need to draft your own waistband pattern to your desired length to add to the top of this tapered Row. The waistband can then be elasticated to your preferred fit.
